Practicing postures as simple as this, for a very little time can help one reduce anxiety levels and handle more stress requiring tasks effectively.
Here’s how it works:
Testosterone is a dominance hormone (in both men and women) which determines the level of dominance an individual exerts and Cortisol is a stress hormone whose levels determine how a person handles the stress. Its found from the research that more powerful and confident people have higher levels of testosterone and lower levels of cortisol which enable them to stay assertive and handle stressful conditions easily.
The levels of these hormones are extremely influenced by the body posture. Thus, practicing high power body postures for a very little time increases the levels of testosterone and decreases levels of cortisol, the combined action of these hormones will eventually boost confidence help one to win over a stressful condition efficiently.

7. Getting the most out of your sleep
The average full sleep-cycle lasts 90 minutes. It is right around those 90 minutes that we are in our lightest phase of the cycle, which is also the best time to wake up. The reason you feel so tired in the morning is not because you didn’t get enough sleep, but instead because you didn’t get the right amount of sleep.
Everyone has slightly different sleep rythms, but starting at 90 minutes is the average. Meaning if you set your alarm to 1.5, 3, 4.5, 6, 7.5 or 9 hours after you go to bed you will get some full cycles in and catch yourself at a lighter sleeping phase. Reverse engineer this to find out when you should go to bed; and plan 15 minutes to fall asleep as well.
Also: When you take a nap try to make it under 30 minutes or at least 1.5 hours. Below 30 minutes you are still in light sleep and do not go into deeper phases, making it easier to wake up and leaving you feel more awake and energetic. Otherwise do 1.5 hours to get a full cycle in again.
8. Stay Calm and you’ll be happy
If somebody is angry at you, Don’t shout back. Instead stay calm, listen to what they have to say, tell them you understand why they are upset & are behaving like that. Let them cool down, and you will notice they would instantly apologize, and it will become easier to make them understand your part of the story. The worst thing you can do to someone who is being rude to you is smile, and be nice to them! The guilt will only make their life harder afterwards! And they will constantly keep wondering, why it didn’t bother you.
If you are too angry and want to control your anger, go and stand in front of a mirror. Works like magic!
Feeling depressed? Too much work pressure? Start to clean your room, Organize your desk, or your wardrobe. This will relax your mind and you will be able to focus better.
