5 simple ways Dreamers can become Doers
Dreamers can become Doers. But,
Dreams don’t work unless you do.
Maybe you’ve been called a dreamer your whole life— by others and by yourself. However, saying you are a dreamer or a doer is like saying you are good or bad.
Nobody is 100 percent good or bad, but they may lean more in one particular direction. It’s a spectrum, and the good news is that you can shift that pattern so you’re a little more balanced.
Remember that being a doer isn’t necessarily better than being a dreamer. You need both to succeed. Without dreams you can’t move your feet an inch to achieve your inner peace.
You think you’re only a dreamer, well many of us are only dreamers but some of them who take action and become doers change the world. Dreamers can become doers
If you’re really not balanced and have a lot more dreamer tendencies, it’s time to take action.
Here are some of the easiest, quickest and effective ways to embrace your inner doer so your dreamer can take a little break. Remember, without a comprehensive, balanced approach you’ll just get stuck in a loop.
1. Write down your goals and give them a deadline.
Remember, Your Dreams don’t come true, but your Goals do.
Dreams are easy. They are free, too. They are imaginary and they don’t produce tangible results. You need to turn your dreams into action. You need goals to make the visions of your dreams real.
Goals are all about action, they turn dreams into reality.
“Dreams can inspire you, but goals can change your life.”
The key here is to make setting goals a habit. If you do that, goal setting becomes a part of your life. If you don’t, it’ll fade and die.
You shall ask yourself these questions every single day-
1. Have you set your goals?
2. Have you written them down?
3. Do you have a plan to accomplish them?
Always dream big, but make sure your goals are just as big.
Because, your dreams don’t come true… but goals do.
2. Balance wants and needs.
How often the word “I want” comes in your mind instead of “I need“.!
• A need is tangible or an intangible thing that basically you must have in order to survive in this World, call it a Necessity.
• A want, on the other hand, is something that you desire, something you would like to or wish to have.
Every time when you decide that you want to do something, follow that up with a list of steps you need to take to make it happen. This might mean saving a certain amount of money for Someting you wish to have or something you eagerly want. Lets say, if you want to save $10,000 in one year, look at your budget and figure out what you need to cut to make that happen.
3. Surround yourself with doers.
Pro Tip :
* Who are your five best friends?
–The Five people you meet regularly or surround yourself with, makes you the average sixth of those five people. So choose wisely whome you call your ‘so friends.
• Dreamers feeds off each other.
• Doers will inspire you, always.
There are good as well as bad energy around you. Negative attracts the negative.. stay away from such people, unintentionally you can behave as well as adapt their personality.
Dreamers can become doers if they choose their friends carefully.
Remember: you are in charge of your support network.
4. Stop doing what doesn’t work.
You know Einstein’s definition of insanity-
Insanity is doing the same thing, over and over again but expecting different results.
Imagine that if someone pay you $1 million to stop doing that, whatever that is, do you think you could stop doing that? Or at the least, would you not pay much more attention to the issue and thereby make much quicker progress? Just think about it.!
If you’ve been dreaming about something but your attempts are not giving you positive results, then it’s time to Stop, reassess, figure out what’s wrong and try a fresh approach.
You won’t progress ever by making the same mistakes over and over again.
Cry as hard as you want to, but just make sure when you stop crying, you never cry for the same reason again.
5. Accept the Failure.
Encountering Failure when doing something new is expected.
Without it, how will you learn? How does a baby learn to walk without falling?
“Good decisions come from experience. And experience comes from bad decisions.”
Massive success rarely happens overnight. Success usually rides on the cumulative efforts of hard work, and learning from the person over a period of time. But we rarely see this tough side of doing the hard work.
We see the stories of overnight success and become discouraged when our own projects start off unsuccessful. And then we give up, way too early.
* Thomas Edison made around 1,000 unsuccessful attempts at inventing the light bulb.
You’ll make mistakes. There will be a period of struggle. But know that it’s all part of the process. Failure is the secret to success.
Instead of letting failure beat you down, you get up each time you fall, dust yourself off, take note of the lesson and you keep trying.
Remember, Dreamers can become doers if they wish to.
Mistakes were made,
Lessons were learned.
Mistakes will be made,
Lessons will be learned.
Life goes on.
